The Bubble Shot is a weapon designed by a Ratchet & Clank fan for the Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time weapon contest. It was one of the five finalists given to the public to vote on.[7] The Bubble Shot fires corrosive bubbles. Smaller bubbles that move quickly can be created using small amounts of ammo or larger, slower moving bubbles can be made which use up more ammo and cause much more damage.[8]

The bubble shot is very similar in game mechanics and aesthetics to the in-game Dynamo of Doom/Dynamo of Devastation weapons which charges up shots that use more ammo, do more damage and are larger than a single button press only they use electricity rather than bubbles of acid.
