Skid McMarx

Skidd McMarx, spelled Skid McMarx and Skidd McMarxx in the original game, is a pro-hoverboard racer from Blackwater City and the nephew of Abner Buckwash of Novalis.

While on Novalis, Ratchet and Clank were fending off a small Blarg invasion led by Drek. After they saved the mayor of the Tobruk Crater, mayor Buckwash told Ratchet and Clank that the Blarg were after him because of an Infobot message from his nephew, Skidd McMarx. In his message to his uncle, he showed off the construction of his new Sports Shack on Aridia along with his agent, Don Wonderstar, and accidentally revealed the schematics for a top-secret Blarg project the Hydrohavesters which invading Blarg troops took immediate notice. They tried to attack as Skidd runs in terror and the message then cuts off.

When Ratchet and Clank arrived on Aridia, Skidd was very much reileved. He had a broken leg from trying to get out of his Sports Shack. He asked for assistance in taking out the Sandsharks which were preventing him from getting back to the rocket he, and his agent traveled in in exchange he would give Ratchet his Hoverboard. After Ratchet and Clank cleared out all the Sandsharks, Skidd gave Ratchet an autographed Hoverboard which he would use at the Blackwater City Hoverboard Races.

When the two were both saved, Skidd thanked the two and tells that he will not be able to compete in the Hoverboard Races because of his broken leg. Because of this, Don offered the duo an Infobot with a promotion for the Blackwater City Hoverboard Races. The two headed off in their rocket and left to a hospital to get Skid's leg checked out.
