The term "Nefarious Fighter" is conjectural. The real name is unknown, and a non-canonical nickname or title is used instead. See the reasons for this title in the "Behind the scenes" section below and/or the relevant discussion on the talk page, if they exist.

Nefarious Fighters

Nefarious Fighters were spaceships that resembled a Nefarious Dropship, except that they were built to patrol Nefarious-controlled space and to engage any hostile ships they encountered.

They were often alerted to an enemy presented by the Security satellites stationed throughout Nefarious-controlled sectors. Unlike Nefarious Dropships, they attacked enemy ships with laser cannons rather than missiles.

They were first encountered by Ratchet in the Phylax Sector, when Vorselon's Warship released dozens of these ships to lose the Aphelion. These vessels were later replaced by the upgraded Nefarious Fighter v2s in the Bernilius Sector.

Nefarious Fighter V2s

Nefarious Fighter v2s were saucers built to patrol Nefarious controlled space and to engage any ships they encountered that were not aligned with Nefarious. They were often alerted to an intruder's presences by the Security Salellites stationed throughout Nefarious controlled Sectors. They attacked opposing ships with lasers from their hull mounted cannons, which could be hard to dodge when we vessels traveled in groups. While they acted almost exactly similar to that of the standard Nefarious Fighter, their markings were orange rather than green. In addition to some differences in appearances, these ships were equipped with defense shields, which would turn on and off throughout dog fights.

They were first encountered by Ratchet in the Bernilius Sector.
