Template:Appearances The Mangeboots are a gadget in Ratchet & Clank invented by the blarg. They allow Ratchet to traverse specific magnetic surfaces, such as ventilation shafts and undersides of spacecraft, though they grant him limited movement while doing so.
In the original Ratchet & Clank, Clank finds a pair while exploring the surface of Orxon, where the boots are among many things left behind, and brings them back to Ratchet. In the re-imagined Ratchet & Clank, Clank instead finds the boots while exploring outside the Blarg Tactical Research Station on his own. The Magneboots did not appear in other releases, though Ratchet instead made use of the Gravity Boots, with similar functionality while granting Ratchet full movement on surfaces.
The Lombax Magentic trophy
Obtaining the Magneboots in high-definition re-release of the original Ratchet & Clank (standalone and in the Ratchet & Clank Collection) grants the player the Lombax Magnetic bronze trophy.
Use
The Magneboots are required for Ratchet to explore many areas of the worlds visited, as well as to gain access from secrets.
In the original Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet's movement while using the Magneboots is limited. As all of the weapons and gadgets Ratchet uses are made from magnetic metal, only the OmniWrench can be used while using the Magneboots. Additionally, it is not possible to jump (using 
will just cause Ratchet to attempt to and fail to jump), and movement is slow and restrictive, being half the speed of usual movement.
In the re-imagined Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet has full movement on surfaces he is walking on with the Magneboots, similar to the Gravity Boots.
