Several different paint jobs were available in Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal for the Star Explorer.

Blargian Red was the standard issue color for the Star Explorer. It was a red color, which looked similar to a Blarg, hence the name.

Bogon Blue was a paint job for the Star Explorer. The paint job was a darkish blue color and was named after the Bogon Galaxy. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it could be bought for 5 Raritanium, after obtaining 3 skill points, but in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it could be bought for 1,000 bolts after gaining 5 skill points.

Orxon Green

Orxon Green was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a plain green color, like Orxon's sky, hence the name. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it cost 5 Raritanium and was available after obtaining 3 skill points, but in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 1,000 bolts after gaining 6 skill points.

Drek's Black Heart was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was named after Drek, describing how evil he was. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it cost five Raritanium and was available after obtaining three skill points, but in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts and was available after gaining 22 skill points.

Lombax Orange was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was not really orange, it was more of a golden yellow color with some black stripes similar to a Lombax's ears, hence the name. Lombax Orange cost cost five Raritanium from Slim Cognito's Ship Shack and was available after obtaining three skill points.

In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal after gaining seven skill points Lombax Orange became available at a cost of 1,000 bolts on the Starship Phoenix.

Supernova

Supernova was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a gold and brown color. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 10 skill points, and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts after gaining 21 skill points.

Space Storm

Space Storm was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a camouflage color, like the uniforms of men in an army when hiding from enemies. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 10 skill points, and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 1,000 bolts after gaining 12 skill points.

Silent Strike

Silent Strike was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a grey color, with some rusty looking patches. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 15 skill points, and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts after gaining 20 skill points.

Dark Nebula

Dark Nebula was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a dark black and blue color, based on nebula. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 15 skill points, and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts after gaining 26 skill points.

Solar Wind

Solar Wind was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a dark blue/purple color with flames at the front. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it cost five Raritanium after obtaining 15 skill points. In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it was available after gaining 25 skill points and cost 5,000 bolts.

Star Traveler

Star Traveler (known as Star Traveller in Europe) was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was yellow with black checkered stripes, like a taxi cab. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 19 skill points and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts after gaining 27 skill points.

Neutron Star

Neutron Star was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a grey color with a red stripe on each wing. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 19 skill points and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts after gaining 23 skill points.

Lunar Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a tan color with dark brown patches.

In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando it cost five Raritanium and was available after obtaining 25 skill points.

In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal it was available for 5,000 bolts after gaining 24 skill points.

Clowner

Clowner was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was red with pink dots, referencing the common use of clowns having pink dots on their clothes, hence the name.

In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 25 skill points from Slim Cognito's Ship Shack.

In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal it was unlocked after gaining 28 skill points and cost 5,000 bolts.

Plaidtastic was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a dark pink color, with flowers and a smiling emoticon in the middle. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 29 skill points and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 5,000 bolts and was available after gaining 29 skill points as well.

Insomniac Special

Insomniac Special was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was named after Insomniac Games as the final paint job, and was a black color with the Insomniac Moon on the wings and nose. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 29 skill points and in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it cost 9,000 bolts and available after gaining all of the skill points.

Going Commando exclusive

Prepster

Prepster was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was purple with green wings, both with a ying-yang symbol on each. In Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, it was available for five Raritanium after obtaining 29 skill points. However, it was not available in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, unlike all the other paint jobs, for an unknown reason.

Amoeboid Green was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a green color, like an Amoeboid, hence the name. In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it was one of the paint jobs available from the moment Ratchet first docked his ship in the Starship Phoenix, and cost 500 bolts.

Obani Orange was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was orange, like the lava core of the Obani moons, hence the name. It was available for 500 bolts after obtaining a skill point.

Low Rider

Low Rider was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a plain light blue color, with some whitish stripes, looking like the sky. In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it was available for 500 bolts after obtaining two skill points.

Black Hole

Black Hole was a paint job for the Star Explorer. It was a tint of purple with creamy stripes. In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, it was available for 500 bolts after obtaining three skill points.

Sun Storm
