Ratchet & Clank (2002) logo

The HelpDesk Girl is a character in Ratchet & Clank with cameos in Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked. She is a robot who worked for Gadgetron's HelpDesk service on planet Kalebo III, who recorded and sent help logs to adventurers such as Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet and Clank also met her in the Gadgetron site on Kalebo III, where she gave them the Map-o-Matic.

Ratchet and Clank meet the HelpDesk Girl in the original Ratchet & Clank, who provides them help logs throughout. MegaCorp also features its own HelpDesk girl used throughout Going Commando, with the same voice as Gadgetron's HelpDesk girl, though it is unknown if it is the same or a different robot with an identical voice. Ratchet and Clank also use the Gadgetron HelpDesk in Up Your Arsenal and Tools of Destruction, though it is unlikely the same robot as the original as the voice is different.

History

Ratchet & Clank

The HelpDesk Girl provided help logs to Ratchet and Clank. Her help logs to Ratchet were first seen on Veldin with instructions on how to build a ship, giving him the instruction to "attach robotic ignition system" at which point he gave up.[1] After this, her help logs featured throughout their missions, such as upon obtaining new weapons and gadgets.

I hope she's cute.

Ratchet and Clank meet the HelpDesk girl.

Ratchet and Clank visited the HelpDesk Girl's desk on Kalebo III after "Ride the Grind Rail". She informed them that she'd been keeping track of their adventure, and provided them with the Map-o-Matic, and Clank awkwardly flirted with her.

Up Your Arsenal

Later, the HelpDesk Girl appeared in the audience for the Secret Agent Clank film premiere. She sat next to the Plumber, who attempted to put his arm around her, before she hit him and he took it off.

Characteristics

The HelpDesk Girl is a hotbot, a common form of feminine robotic model, with a slender feminine figure, crop top, and miniskirt. Her form resembles grey metal skin with a light blue crop top featuring a red Gadgetron logo letter, along with blue sleeves and a blue miniskirt. The HelpDesk Girl appears to find Clank's awkward attempts to flirt with her cute, referring to him as "sweetie".

Behind the scenes

The voice for HelpDesk girl in Ratchet & Clank was provided by Mona Marshall, who also voiced Helga von Streissenburgen.
