Sprocket[1] is an antagonist in Quest for Booty. A Rogue space pirate, Sprocket led a gang of pirates on Merdegraw while they were leaderless in the absence of captains Angstrom Darkwater or Romulus Slag. Ratchet and Talwyn Apogee encountered him while exploring the planet in search of Darkwater.

Sprocket's gang had a presence in Merdegraw, and worked with the Smuggler to have Hoolefar Island sabotaged on occasion.[2]
In "Fight the Pirates", Ratchet and Talwyn arrived at Sprocket's fleet in the Azorean Sea. As Rusty Pete revealed their location, Talwyn asked after Captain Darkwater, to which Sprocket told them he was dead and called for his gang to kill them.[3] When his gang had chased them down, Sprocket had them placed in a cannon to be fired off to Morrow Caverns. Rusty Pete, wearing Captain Slag's head to pretend to be the captain, ordered that Sprocket fire them off to Hoolefar Island, which he obliged, fooled by Pete's helmet.[4]
When Darkwater was revived and the curse was triggered, Sprocket's gang joined Darkwater's army of undead pirates. In "Escape the Deadly Caves", Sprocket encountered Ratchet, who Darkwater had trapped in Darkwater Cove's lower Lythoin Caves. Sprocket fought Ratchet there and was defeated.[5]

Sprocket has identical appearance to other Rogues, and a similar skillset, where the cannon from his arm fires black exploding cannonballs. Sprocket also makes use of a hammer-like arm in melee combat, which unlike regular rogues, releases a shock that curves upwards after crashing on the ground.
Sprocket is a ruthless space pirate with a quick tongue. Motivated more by bloodshed than money, he told Ratchet he would not give up the chance to kill Ratchet for "all the booty in the galaxy".[5]
