Clank Challenges were challenges that were completed with Clank on Metalis or Dayni Moon, fighting for Robot War III. Each of the Clank Challenges fell into one of the three categories. In Destruction Derby, Clank was inside a fighting torso (e.g. saw or electric torso) and had to defeat similar torsos in a free-for-all match. In Gadgebot Toss, Clank was in a BotFlinger and had to pick up a gadgebot and toss it into a goal. The robot that reached the goal limit first won the match. In Gadgebot Survival, Clank controlled a group of gadgebots in a 2D level. The gadgebots had to get past certain obstacles and get into the goal.
Destruction Derby was a series of challenges Clank came across on Metalis and Dayni Moon. the objective was to defeat all opponents' vehicles while keeping his vehicle intact. The very first Clank Challenge Clank encountered was a Destruction Derby. One contender known to frequent the Derbys was Smasher Bot, who was bested by Clank on three occasions.
Gadgebot Toss was a type of Clank Challenge. the objective was to throw a Gadgebot into a green scoring zone, with a BotFlinger while avoiding opposing players. Sometimes there were one sided goal zones, with contestants having to move around the goal-posts and throw the gadgebot from there. There could also be mines and bounce pads to stop contestants getting to the goal zone easily.
Gadgebot Survival was a Clank Challenge that took place on various worlds such as Metalis and the Dayni Moon. There were also some very hard ones in the High Impact Games Treehouse The objective was to get the required number of Gadgebots into a small compartment. Sometimes, there could be more than one compartment, requiring contestants to use their brains to get the Gadgebots safely to the compartments.
Clank had to complete this challenge to find Ratchet when he was put into a Saw Torso and had to complete this Destruction Derby challenge. The reward for completing it was 1,000 bolts, which Clank later gave to Ratchet.
